March 2024 | Ski Holidays in Sweden
Departing Sunday 24th March 2024
Considered a skiing paradise by many and a haven from busy resorts elsewhere in Europe, Scandinavia is renowned for its great snow conditions, long ski season (which often spans from November until May), uncrowded, well-groomed pistes and world class ski instructors.
Where to ski in Sweden...
Kläppen
Located on the Sälen mountain range, Kläppen is a family owned, privately run ski resort. The resort is nestled amongst pristine forests and boasts the “best snow guarantee in Sweden”. This charming and friendly resort is a paradise for families and those who enjoy relaxed skiing. All accommodation is ski-in/ski-out, meaning complete convenience - no ski buses and easy access to the slopes. The village centre is welcoming and easy to get around - and with the only gondola in the Sälen ski area, it allows for easy access to the mountain top for non-skiers.
Hundfjället
Hundfjället is a newly developed ski area located in the extensive Sälen mountain range. This relaxed, welcoming ski resort is a paradise for families with its wide offering of gentle rolling slopes and designated areas for children to ski in - which includes the popular enchanted adventure forest, "Trollskogen". All accommodation is ski-in/ski-out, and direct access to the two 8-seater express lifts offers the unique ability to reach all of Hundfjället's ski slopes right from your doorstep!
Just a short distance from Hundfjället, the resort of Tandådalen is conveniently reachable by a simple drag lift - the two interconnecting resorts have a combined 51 slopes to keep you busy! For those of you looking for something even more challenging, on the west face of the mountain in Hundfjället you will find one of Sweden’s steepest slopes, "Väggen" (AKA The Wall!).
Lindvallen
The largest of Sälen's ski areas, Lindvallen is the quintessential choice for skiers new to snow. Numerous wide, rolling green slopes are perfect for building confidence in those just starting out on skis or a snowboard. The ski area is connected with neighbouring ski resort, Högfjället.
Stöten
The resort of Stöten embodies Scandinavian skiing and hospitality at its best - friendly locals, a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic snow conditions. This picturesque village is nestled amongst stunning forests and is ideal for those looking to enhance their ski holiday with adventure activities and bushcraft skills. Located on the northern point of the Sälen mountain range and boasting the highest peaks, long stretching views over the Swedish and Norwegian mountains will leave a lasting memory.
