Located on the Sälen mountain range, Kläppen is a family owned, privately run ski resort. The resort is nestled amongst pristine forests and boasts the “best snow guarantee in Sweden”. This charming and friendly resort is a paradise for families and those who enjoy relaxed skiing. All accommodation is ski-in/ski-out, meaning complete convenience - no ski buses and easy access to the slopes. The village centre is welcoming and easy to get around - and with the only gondola in the Sälen ski area, it allows for easy access to the mountain top for non-skiers.
Family skiing in Kläppen
With well-kept gentle rolling slopes, Kläppen is the perfect destination for family skiing.
Uniquely, beginners can head straight up on the gondola to learn how to ski on the wide green slopes at the top of the mountain. A fun children only area allows for the perfect environment for younger children to start their ski adventure on the slopes. The resort has even been awarded the best ski area in Sweden for families with children. A visit to Kläppen will give you the right mix of good skiing and Swedish charm to make you want to come back for more, year on year.
