We introduced carbon neutral skiing holidays in 2017 and we've already achieved some amazing things. This year we want to get you more involved.
We're asking our customers to vote on our second carbon offsetting project. We'll continue to support tree planting in the UK and protection in the Amazon, but it's up to you to choose the second project from our shortlist (below), and then cast your vote here.

Fuel efficient stoves in Kenya
The project provides locally made, domestic, fuel-efficient cooking stoves to rural households in Kenya. The new stoves reduce the amount of wood fuel needed to cook with, reducing carbon emissions, and provide families with a cleaner, cheaper and easier way of cooking. The stoves are made in Kenya and are provided to families free of charge.
Borehole repair in Uganda
Approximately 60% of the people in the districts covered by this project do not have access to clean water and rely exclusively on open wells, lakes and other unprotected sources. This project looks at repairing and maintaining existing boreholes that have fallen into disrepair because maintenance programmes have been poorly managed or proven too expensive.
What we have achieved so far
Since 2017 we have offset more than 180 tonnes of carbon. The projects we support have planted more than 90 trees in UK schools, protected the same number in the Amazon, and helped the development of solar power projects in India.
All that has:
- Reduced the impact of our holidays on the climate and environment
- Provided social and environmental improvements on a global and local scale
- Locked away carbon in trees
- Reduced the amount of carbon released from fossil fuels
We hope that you will stand with the skiScandinavia teams in helping to protect Scandinavia, the UK and the global environment by choosing to travel with us and enjoy an exceptional, carbon neutral skiing holiday.
